Episode 109

How the Puritan Grinch Stole Christmas with "'Twas the Night Before Christmas in Old Nauvoo!"

In this festive holiday episode of Mormonish Podcast, Rebecca and Landon are joined once again by the wonderful Rob Lauer, as we explore the little known history of the ban on Christmas.

Rob tells us more about Christmas's checkered past as certain groups of religious zealots attempted to eradicate Christmas forever.

Rebecca, Landon, and Rob also share Christmas memories and the new meanings they find during the holidays after deconstruction of previous beliefs.

And as a bonus feature, we recite our favorite Christmas poem, "'Twas the Night Before Christmas in Old Nauvoo!"

Merry Christmas to all! We hope you have a joyous holiday season!
