EP10: Hoozier Daddy? The Life and Times of Elder Brophy

On this episode of Mormonish Podcast, Landon and Rebecca discuss the upcoming documentary screening of "The Return of Elder Pingree: Memoir of a Departed Mormon." This beautiful documentary film from Emmy award winning documentary film from Emmy award winning documentary filmmaker Geoff Pingree will be showing at a free screening at Brewvies Cinema Pub in Salt Lake on February 13th starting at 6 PM MT. Geoff Pingree will be joining us for a meet and greet, Q&A and to watch the film with us. We also have a special message from Geoff in this episode.

Inspired by the documentary, in which Geoff Pingree returns to his mission field to deconstruct and understand how the experience now as a post Mormon, Landon breaks out his own missionary journals and we take a trip into the past. Landon recounts experiences from his mission, both humorous and often poignant, that I'm sure many of you can relate to. It's really great to learn more about Landon as we walk down memory lane in this special episode of Mormonish!

Trigger warning: This episode involves discussion of suicide.
